And shit man. It's perfect. I'm normally not one for hyperbole, but it might be the best movie I've seen, or at least my favorite. It really felt flawless the whole way through. I honestly did not expect the sharp tonal shift at about the 1 hour mark, but everything before and after were both incredible. I am ashamed I had not gotten around to watching it earlier, but also kind of glad for it, since I got to recognize all the music (which I wouldn't have last year, I'm late to the Outrun party, but happy to be here).
This could turn into a ridiculously long post if I get into my favorite moments (which I may do in an edit), and I gotta get up early, so I'll just leave it at this:
Drive is perhaps the best movie I (an avid movie watcher) have ever seen, and if you haven't seen it, you need to.
