Hey! I've recently gotten into writing video essays, especially now during quarantine. I made an essay on Vaporwave a while back, and i'm now trying to make a followup-esque video on Outrun and Synthwave. I'm not the most well-informed person ever, so I do have some questions that someone might help answer.
- What are some music genres that had major influences on Outrun?
- What elements of Outrun are actually visualized from the 80's? (Cars, Trees?)
- What's the origin of all those wireframe grids and neon colours?
